Most of us have dreamed about being part of the British royal family. We can only imagine what our lifestyle would be like being a prince or a princess. For most of us commoners, becoming part of the UK royal family will remain a dream. However, one particular handsome boy has a story that is worthy of a fairy tale.
A rescue Beagle named Guy lived in a high-kill shelter in Kentucky. Nobody wanted to adopt him, and he was already on the euthanasia list.
It was inevitable that Guy was going to be euthanized, and it was only a matter of days before he was put to sleep. Guy was already three-years-old, and this meant that he’s no longer a puppy that most people want to adopt.
However, just as everything seemed hopeless for Guy, a future princess came over to the shelter and rescued Guy from death. Guy was in an adoption event in Ontario when the now Duchess of Sussex Meghan Markle saw Guy and fell in love with him.
At that time, Meghan was in Toronto working as an actress for a TV series called Suits. Meghan saw Guy’s photo and decided to meet the adorable Beagle at the adoption event. When Meghan first took Guy for a walk, she knew that she wanted Guy to be a part of her life.
After Meghan got married to Prince Harry, she moved to the UK and brought Guy along to live in one of the many palaces of the British Royal Family. It’s undoubtedly a happily ever after ending for Guy. Guy was even reportedly seen riding a royal car to an event alongside the Queen of England.
Also known to be a dog lover, Queen Elizabeth owns adorable Corgis. Guy must have made an impression to the Queen that he got to ride a car alongside Her Majesty, which is a very prestigious honor. Here’s a heartwarming and adorable video of how a princess rescued Guy and became part of the British Royal Family.
