Stacee Jones is a foster mom who has taken in over 100 dogs and cats. Because of that, she thought that she had already seen it all. However, recently, she met the survivors of two separate cases from Jelly’s Place in San Pablo, California, who proved her wrong.
One of them was a nursing rat terrier mix who lost her babies and was abandoned behind a dumpster. Not long after Stacee took in the sweet mother dog, the rescue center contacted her, asking if she would be willing to foster three newborn kittens. They need to be bottle-fed since they lost their mother.
The shelter staff came up with a plan and, although it was a long shot, Stacee decided to proceed with caution. When the kittens arrived, Stacee sat down next to the mother dog. She carefully showed her one tiny feline to see how she would react. Stacee was worried that the pup would growl or not take it very well.

Stacee held her breath and prepared herself to retreat if she sees the slightest sign that it was not a match. However, a miracle happened. The mother dog immediately took to the first kitten and licked him. Since Stacee saw that the pup was comfortable with the plan, she decided to introduce the other two little felines.
The mother dog immediately knew what she needed to do and started to nurse the kittens. This shocked Stacee and made her cry. She said that it was so beautiful and that she has never seen anything like it before.
Stacee moved the new family into a large crate. For five weeks, the dog, who is now called Keeper, nursed the tiny kittens, named Marshmallow, Oreo, and Cookie. According to Stacee, these little felines are very socialized, and they have lots of dog-like tendencies.
Now, Keeper is with her forever family, and soon the kittens will be up for adoption too. Stacee said that among all those that she fostered, Keeper and her little felines warmed her heart the most.
